MOST SENIOR EXECUTIVES
KNOW
CHINA
MATTERS.
Few have seen what’s
actually happening there.

We organize exclusive, industry-specific delegations to China for senior executives — structured to answer the questions that actually matter for your business.
Not inspiration. Decisions.
What you get out of one week in China that you cannot get any other way.
A delegation with Expanding Together is a structured business format — built around your industry, your questions, and the people in China who are directly relevant to your next move. You discover solutions already operating at scale — and emerging technologies from startups that will matter in two years. You meet the decision-makers behind them, in their factories, their offices, their context. You leave with relationships and a clear picture of what a concrete next step could look like.
We work with executives who come prepared to act on what they find. If that’s you, let’s talk.
How a delegation works.
01• PREPARATION
Before you arrive
2-6 weeks ahead
Before departure, we speak with each participant individually to understand their specific agenda.
What they are trying to learn, what decisions are in front of them, and what kind of access would be most valuable. The program is then built around the combined priorities of the group. We also prepare participants for China itself — practical guidance on payments, connectivity, and communication on the ground, as well as how to approach meetings and conversations with Chinese partners to get the most out of them. You arrive knowing who you will meet, why, and how.
02 • ON THE GROUND
During the week
5-7 days in China
The week is structured around company visits, executive meetings, and direct access to the technologies and operations most relevant to your sector. Conversations happen in real settings — factories, offices, research facilities. The pace is deliberate. There is time to absorb what you are seeing.
03 • THE DEBRIEF
Closing days
Final 1-2 days
The final days of every delegation include both a structured group debrief and individual conversations with each participant. In the group session, participants reflect on what they have observed and what it means across the sector. In the individual conversations, we focus on what it means specifically for each business and what a concrete next step looks like.
04 • WHAT FOLLOWS
After the delegation
Weeks and months ahead
The delegation ends. The work continues. We follow through on the relationships and introductions formed during the week, coordinate any further steps that require on-the-ground support, and remain available as a coordination point for participants who want to move further.
Choose your industry.
Six established programs. A broader range of sectors available as custom editions on request.

01
Smart Manufacturing
In China, fully automated production lines are not a pilot project. They are the industrial standard.
AI-assisted systems, digital twins, and robotics operating at a scale and speed most European factories are still planning for.

02
AI in Real Business Operations
In China, AI is not a buzzword. It is a measurable operational advantage, already embedded in insurance, logistics, and production decisions made daily.
See how companies are deploying it, what it costs, and what it actually delivers.

03
Automated Logistics
Autonomous delivery vehicles, AI-optimized supply chains, and warehouse systems processing over a billion data points a day. Fully integrated, fully scaled.
Not a concept. A working infrastructure you can walk through.

04
Care & the Aging Society
China faces the same demographic pressure as Europe and is responding with an urgency Europe has not yet matched.
Care robotics, AI-assisted planning, and an entire industry are being built right now to answer a problem that will define the next twenty years.

05
Digital Construction
LiDAR drones, digital twins, and modular building methods deployed at industrial scale.
In China, construction is a data project. This delegation shows you what that means in practice and what is transferable.

06
Smart Retail
Production, distribution, consumer data, and last-mile logistics operating as one closed digital system.
From autonomous stores to fully integrated retail infrastructure. The supply chain and the storefront have become the same thing.
Your industry not listed?
We develop delegations around specific sectors on request, with the same level of curation and access.
WHO THIS IS FOR
The executives who get the most out of a delegation.
Delegations work best for senior executives who arrive with a specific question or decision in front of them. Not a general interest in China, but a concrete agenda — a market they are evaluating, a technology they need to understand, a partnership they are considering, or a strategic direction they are trying to pressure-test against reality.
Participants come from a range of industries and functions. What they share is seniority, a genuine mandate to act on what they find, and the ability to translate what they observe into decisions for their organization. Most have read the reports. They are here because they want to see the thing itself.
Groups travel together, which means the dynamic of the delegation matters as much as the program. We keep groups small — six to twelve participants — and we are selective about composition. The conversations between participants are often as valuable as the company visits.
If you are unsure whether a delegation is the right format for where you are, a brief conversation with us will clarify that quickly.
WHY EXPANDING TOGETHER
What makes the difference.
The quality of a delegation depends almost entirely on the quality of access. Who you meet, in what setting, and whether the conversations are real. We have spent years building the relationships in China that make that access possible — across industries, institutions, and the kind of companies that do not appear on standard business travel itineraries.
Every delegation is founder-led. The people who designed the program are present throughout, and the relationships that open the doors are ours personally.
We operate joint structures in China with partners who have spent decades building enterprise relationships across the sectors we work in. The access we offer exists before the delegation begins.
We run a small number of delegations each year. That is a deliberate choice.
